Fort Myers, Florida – A 19-year-old man was arrested early Sunday after deputies clocked him traveling at 106 mph.
Santiago Londono told authorities his mother was rushing him to take a friend home, who was riding in the passenger seat.
Deputies measured his speed using an agency-issued radar device and reminded him of Florida’s new Super Speeder Law, which makes driving over 100 mph an arrestable offense.
Londono was booked for operating a vehicle at a speed exceeding 100 mph.
