Ramstein Air Base, Germany – U.S. Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft from the 86th Airlift Wing dropped cargo and carried out aerial maneuvers during a maximum generation exercise on October 15, 2025.
The aircraft operated from Ramstein Air Base, releasing cargo and executing coordinated flight patterns as part of the large-scale training event.
During a maximum generation exercise, all available aircraft configured for full combat capability are launched. The goal is to prepare pilots to respond to a large, simultaneous mission when called, showing both lethality and readiness.
The training is designed to demonstrate how the wing can perform across a range of contingency scenarios, employing every ready aircraft and crew in a single surge.
