Richmond Heights, Ohio – Police officers came to the aid of a squirrel trapped in a sports net left out in a resident’s backyard.
The Richmond Heights Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to free the rodent from its predicament.
An officer carefully worked to release the squirrel, using “some patience, a few careful cuts and a steady hand.”
Once freed, the squirrel “didn’t stick around for an interview – he bolted straight back to the trees, tail high and freedom restored,” the department said.
