Vandenberg Space Force Base, California – A Northrop Grumman Minotaur IV rocket launched the National Reconnaissance Office’s NROL-174 mission from Space Launch Complex 8 at Vandenberg Space Force Base at 12:33 p.m. PDT on April 16, 2025.

This launch marks the fifth National Reconnaissance Office mission of 2025.

It is also the first launch from Vandenberg’s Space Launch Complex 8 in nearly 14 years.

The mission highlights continued progress in national security and space operations.
