SpaceX Starlink Triumph Soars into Orbit

Cape Canaveral, Florida – A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched 28 Starlink internet satellites into low Earth orbit from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

Liftoff occurred at 1:55 a.m. EDT, lighting up the early morning sky.

The Falcon 9’s first stage, Booster B1090, landed on the droneship “Just Read the Instructions” eight minutes after launch, marking its fifth successful flight.

This mission follows SpaceX’s launch of 26 Starlink satellites from California two days earlier.

SpaceX now has over 7,777 active Starlink satellites in orbit, aiming for a constellation of 12,000, with plans to expand to 34,000 if approved.

The company continues to revolutionize global internet access with its growing megaconstellation.
