Cape Canaveral, Florida – A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched 27 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit on July 2, 2025, marking the 500th Falcon 9 mission.
The liftoff occurred at 2:28 a.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The rocket, with booster B1067, set a new reuse record on its 29th flight. It separated from its upper stage and landed on the drone ship “A Shortfall of Gravitas” in the Atlantic Ocean.
This was the 472nd Falcon 9 first stage landing since 2015.
The satellites, part of Starlink Group 10-25, were deployed 55 minutes after launch.
They joined over 7,900 active Starlink relays, forming the largest satellite constellation ever, providing global broadband internet.SpaceX’s milestone highlights its push for reusable rockets.
The company, founded in 2002, aims to revolutionize space technology and enable life on other planets.
