Six Playful Wolf Pups Spotted In Colorado Field

Jackson County, Colorado – A recent video shows six wolf pups from the One Ear Pack playing in a field, highlighting the growing wolf population in the state.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife shared the footage, noting the pups’ lively playtime and development.

These six pups join three others recently recorded from the King Mountain Pack in a separate trail camera video.

While some pups have been observed by staff, the total number of pups across all packs remains unconfirmed.

Play is crucial for the pups, helping them build strength, coordination, and social bonds needed for hunting and survival within their packs.

Female gray wolves typically give birth to litters ranging from four to six pups.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife continues to monitor four recognized wolf packs along with other wolves throughout the state.
