Royal Navy Warship Races To Jamaica For Urgent Disaster Relief Mission

Jamaica – On November 6, 2025, personnel aboard HMS Trent, a Royal Navy Batch 2 Offshore Patrol Vessel stationed in the Caribbean for Disaster Relief operations, arrived in Jamaica following a request from the Government of Jamaica and the FCDO.

The crew joined a Crisis Response Team to provide assistance wherever needed.

HMS Trent is currently deployed across the Caribbean and North Atlantic under Atlantic Patrol Tasking (North), the Royal Navy’s long-standing commitment to support the United Kingdom’s Overseas Territories in the region.

The vessel remains on standby throughout the hurricane season, ready to deliver aid and emergency support when disaster strikes.

Alongside its relief duties, HMS Trent also cooperates with regional allies and partners to strengthen maritime security and combat illegal drug trafficking across Caribbean waters.
