Rosyth, Scotland – HMS Venturer, the first of the new Type 31 Inspiration Class frigates, was unveiled at Rosyth Dockyard on May 27, 2025.

This warship represents the cutting edge of naval engineering. Designed for global deployment, HMS Venturer is built for a wide range of missions, including maritime security, counter-piracy, defense engagement, and humanitarian relief.

Equipped with state-of-the-art systems, the frigate features advanced surveillance radar, high-tech electro-optic sensors, and automated 57mm and 50mm gun systems using programmable ammunition.

For air defense, HMS Venturer is armed with the Sea Ceptor missile system, offering powerful protection within a local area.

The ship’s four engines can drive it at speeds exceeding 26 knots. Its platform is packed with automation to increase capability and free up the crew for critical tasks.
