Mordialloc, Australia – Riot police and a helicopter were deployed to a Melbourne beach after a large brawl involving hundreds of teenagers erupted following chaos at a nearby supermarket.
Around 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, roughly 200 teens swarmed a Woolworths in Mordialloc, south-east Melbourne, overturning aisles and scattering products across the store. Social media footage captured the frenzy as the crowd overwhelmed staff and shoppers.
Following the supermarket incident, a huge gathering formed along the beach. Video filmed from an elevated walkway shows hundreds of young adults and teens packed densely along the shoreline and standing in shallow water, forming a massive human wall under a clear blue sky. Most were stationary, but some movement indicated tension in the crowd.
The scene drew a heavy police presence, with riot squads preparing to intervene and a helicopter monitoring from above. Online posts described the standoff as “another case of idiots vs ideology,” highlighting the confrontation between authorities and the chaotic crowd.
Authorities continue to manage the situation as police maintain control over both the beach and surrounding areas.
