Abra de Ilog, Philippines – Despite the fierce conditions brought by Typhoon Emong and the southwest monsoon, Coast Guard Sub-Station Abra de Ilog teamed up with MDRRMO rescuers to save two families from danger in Barangay Tibag.

A gripping video shows rescuers bravely pulling two children from very deep water using a life ring and rope. The footage highlights the courage and skill of the team facing extreme weather to protect vulnerable residents.

The rescued families, five members in total, were swiftly evacuated on July 24, 2025, and taken to the Abra de Ilog Gymnasium evacuation center for safety.

This powerful rescue underlines the commitment of local responders to keep communities safe during typhoon threats.
