Orlando, Florida – A video filmed by Deni Garcia shows a wet morning as strong onshore winds push rain across east central Florida.
The rainfall is linked to easterly winds near cold fronts, which gather moisture from the warm Atlantic waters. These conditions are common for the region at this time of year.
The footage captures urban streets and a highway filled with vehicles, highlighting how the weather influences daily routines.
Meteorologists note that the broader Atlantic environment is also shaping local weather. Hurricane Imelda and the fading system of Humberto are affecting the region, creating dangerous conditions for boating.
Seasonal trade winds, which become stronger during the winter, are another factor intensifying the rainfall and weather patterns in Florida.
Deni Garcia explained: “Rainy morning in Orlando as onshore winds converge over east central FL. Very typical for this time of the year as easterly winds near back door cold fronts pick up lots of moisture off of the still very warm Atlantic waters.”
