Raging Waters Tear Through Georgetown As South San Gabriel River Overflows

Georgetown, Texas – On July 5th, Jason Dean recorded a video of the South San Gabriel River swollen from heavy rainfall across Texas.

Jason Dean said, “I took this about 10:30 this morning. South San Gabriel River right through Georgetown. Those familiar with the area this is Austin Ave bridge over the Blue Hole. It’s usually 15 ‘ wide and ankle deep through here. This water is rolling!”

The video shows the river surging with powerful force through a normally shallow and narrow section under the Austin Avenue bridge.
