Olympia, USA – Late last night, Olympia Police tried to stop a vehicle involved in a theft. The driver fled northbound on I5 at high speed.

Officers kept the vehicle in sight long enough for a Thurston County deputy equipped with a grappler to catch up. The grappler was deployed, safely stopping the suspect vehicle without any injuries.

Both occupants of the vehicle had active warrants for crimes ranging from theft to assault. They were handed over to Olympia Police for booking.

Officials praised the teamwork between OPD and TCSO in safely apprehending the suspects.
