Police Rescue Deer With Head Trapped in Hammock in Forest Lake, MN

Forest Lake, MN – A small buck became caught in a backyard hammock, its head stuck in the fabric, prompting officers to respond after a resident called for help.

The deer struggled, tangled and unable to free itself. “Sometimes this job can be unpredictable,” the department noted.

Using a knife attached to an extension pole, officers held the hammock steady while carefully cutting the material. Within moments, the deer broke free and bounded safely into the woods.

The rescue highlighted quick thinking and teamwork, ensuring the animal escaped unharmed.
