Police Battle Deep Snow To Free Trapped Vehicle After Winter Storm

Louisville, KY – Police officers in Louisville were seen battling heavy snow to help a stranded driver after a major winter storm swept through the city.

On Monday, January 26, officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department responded to a vehicle stuck on South 3rd Street, between Chestnut Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard. Video shared by the department shows officers shoveling packed snow away from the car before pushing it back onto the roadway.

The moment was captured following a powerful winter storm that blanketed the Kentucky city on Sunday, leaving streets and vehicles buried.

Alongside the video, the department wrote, “Our cops don’t skip leg day.”

State officials said the storm had moved out of Kentucky by Monday morning. Despite the system leaving the area, the National Weather Service warned that temperatures were expected to remain below freezing until Sunday or Monday of the following week.
