Tempe, Arizona, United States – Police officers and firefighters in Arizona joined forces to save a dog found struggling to stay afloat in a canal in Tempe.
The Tempe Police Department shared video from the scene showing officers and Tempe Fire Medical Rescue personnel carefully using a slip lead to pull the drenched dog to safety.
The department posted on social media: “One safe dog, one happy ending and a whole lot of heart behind the badges.”
The rescue highlights the coordinated efforts of local authorities to protect both people and animals in emergencies.
