New York City, USA – An off-duty NYPD police officer stepped in during a sudden emergency and saved an infant’s life.

A distressed mother ran to a neighboring home after her baby began choking. She turned to her neighbor, Officer Freddy Cerpa, because she knew he was a police officer.

Cerpa immediately provided emergency assistance to the infant.

According to the NYPD, his actions prevented a tragedy and the child survived.
