Grafenwoehr, Germany – On the night of December 9, 2025, U.S. Army paratroopers from the 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, carried out a high-risk airborne operation into Bunker Drop Zone at the Grafenwoehr Training Area.

The 173rd Airborne Brigade serves as the U.S. Army Contingency Response Force in Europe, capable of projecting ready forces across the U.S. European, Africa, or Central Commands’ areas of responsibility.
