Mitchell County, North Carolina – Crews continue the painstaking task of clearing debris from waterways in Mitchell County.

The destruction was caused by Hurricane Helene, which struck Western North Carolina in September 2024.

Video recorded on July 8, 2025, shows the ongoing effort to remove the lingering wreckage nearly ten months after the storm.
