Mount Fairweather, Alaska – A fishing boat crew member in pain was recently medevaced by the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Sitka.

The crew member was rescued while the vessel was underway near Mount Fairweather.

The U.S. Coast Guard responded quickly to the situation and safely evacuated the injured person.

This marks another successful rescue by the Air Station Sitka team.

Officials praised the brave pilots and aircrew for their swift and skilled actions.
