Seville, Spain – Police in Seville’s Tres Mil Viviendas neighborhood seized more than 850 marijuana plants and arrested seven people, including a minor, following a multi-property operation linked to a violent incident on December 5, 2025.
The operation, part of the Policía Nacional’s Operation Ares, began after a shooting involving firearms was reported in the area. Witnesses alerted authorities to a confrontation, and the victim later explained that the attack stemmed from a prior dispute involving a family member.
Simultaneous raids on five properties identified all suspects, members of the same local clan. Authorities recovered over 850 marijuana plants at various stages of growth, 56 vacuum-sealed 1kg packages of marijuana, two shotguns (one with a erased serial number), two 9mm handguns, 120 rounds of ammunition, an airsoft pistol, 20 grams of cocaine, 50 grams of heroin, approximately €2,000 in cash, and a large collection of jewelry.
The arrests included four adults sent to prison and one minor placed in a juvenile detention center. Charges include illegal possession of weapons, drug trafficking, armed robbery, assault, and electricity fraud.
Authorities emphasized that the operation highlights the intersection of organized crime, illegal drug production, and violent acts in the area, with the marijuana cultivation forming the core of the investigation.
