Marines Deploy Concertina Wire To Reinforce Southern Border Barrier

Yuma, Arizona – U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 15, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border, are preparing triple-stranded concertina wire to strengthen the southern border barrier in Yuma.

The work took place on October 31, 2025, as Marines handled and readied the sharp wire coils for installation along the existing barrier infrastructure.

Joint Task Force-Southern Border conducts full-scale, agile, all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Its mission is to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and to achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
