Waikiki Beach, Hawaii – A video filmed by Nick Williams captures a man calmly sitting on a surfboard in the ocean while tsunami warnings were in effect following a massive earthquake in Russia.

Nick said: “This dude on Waikiki Beach is ready to ride the wave. Tsunami Hawaii.”

The footage shows the lone surfer remaining in the water, despite growing fears of an incoming tsunami.

Authorities had issued alerts across Hawaii in response to the powerful quake that struck Russia’s far east.

As people along the coast prepared for possible impacts, the man on the board appeared unfazed.
