Avola, Sicily – A man was struck by a sudden illness near the Avola Lakes in the province of Syracuse.

The incident occurred on March 29.

Two teams of firefighters quickly responded to the emergency.

They provided immediate assistance to the man at the scene.

After stabilization, he was airlifted by a Drago helicopter.

The helicopter transported him to the nearest hospital for treatment.
