La Spezia, Italy – In the early hours of September 1, 2025, firefighters and rescue teams successfully saved a man and his dog from a perilous cliff in Bonassola.

The Brugnato and Levanto fire brigades, together with the Local Command Unit of La Spezia, were called to assist in the search during the night after the pair went missing.

Using a drone, rescuers located the man and his dog perched on a cliff. They were then safely recovered by sea with the help of port personnel and SAF (specialized rescue) teams.

The operation concluded around 4 a.m., with both the man and his dog unharmed. Authorities confirmed the rescue was fully successful.
