LAPD Officers Tackle Protester Leading To Injury During Downtown Arrest

Los Angeles, California – On June 10, 2025, new bodycam footage released by the LAPD reveals the dramatic arrest of protester Daniel Bill during downtown Los Angeles demonstrations.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., officers formed a skirmish line on Alameda Street to move protesters toward Temple Street. Bill confronted the officers, leading to a physical encounter caught on video.

The footage shows officers shoving Bill as he approaches. Rubber bullets were fired but did not stop him. Officers then used a team takedown to bring him down.

Contrary to police claims of non-cooperation, the video shows Bill walking away with his back turned when multiple officers suddenly tackled him to the ground.

Afterward, paramedics transported Bill to the hospital where doctors diagnosed a broken finger requiring surgery.

Bill was later cited for failure to disperse and resisting an officer.
