Webb County, Texas – Texas Department of Public Safety troopers arrested a human smuggler from Laredo following a high-speed pursuit in Webb County.

The driver, Juan Antonio Aleman, was transporting 10 illegal immigrants who were locked inside a van. Aleman admitted he was going to be paid $2,000 to smuggle them.

All 10 individuals were turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.

This arrest is part of Operation Lone Star 2.0, as Texas DPS continues efforts to stop dangerous human smuggling attempts and protect local communities.
