Cuneo, Italy – On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, a hiker who had been missing since Sunday was found safe in the mountains near Entracque, in the Cuneo province.

The man was located at an altitude of over 2,000 meters, near Lago Bianco dell’Agnel, by a team composed of firefighters, alpine rescue units, and the Guardia di Finanza.

He was safely brought down by the Drago VF 66 helicopter.

For two days, the rescue operation involved ground teams, search dogs, topography experts, drones, and the helicopter, coordinating to locate the missing hiker.
