Crognaleto, Italy – On Sunday, October 5, 2025, a woman hiking in the Nerito area of Crognaleto suffered an ankle injury and required urgent rescue.

A team from the Teramo Fire Department was deployed to assist. They reached the injured woman on foot through the wooded area.

Firefighters carried her to a location where an airlift was possible. She was then hoisted by helicopter operated by emergency medical services and transported to a hospital for treatment.
