Greenwall Rapids, Oregon – February 20, 2026 – A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter crew from North Bend, Oregon, successfully rescued a man stranded in the Illinois River Valley.

The operation followed a multi-day search conducted in coordination with the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office.

The helicopter team located the individual near Greenwall Rapids and brought him to safety, ending the intensive search effort.
