Colere, Italy – A dramatic rescue operation ended at 4 p.m. on Saturday on the northern side of the Presolana massif in the province of Bergamo.

The Drago helicopter of the fire brigade was dispatched to the scene.

The flight crew from the Lombardy unit reached a hiker trapped on a snowfield at an altitude of 2,100 meters.

The hiker was recovered and safely transported down to the valley.
