Murcia, Spain – The Guardia Civil has dismantled a criminal group in Torre Pacheco that cultivated more than 1,500 marijuana plants.
Three individuals were arrested and are accused of belonging to a criminal organization, cultivating and producing drugs, and committing electricity fraud.
Authorities raided a property in the Roldán area, finding a fully equipped indoor operation. Investigators seized over 1,500 plants, 500 grams of marijuana buds, and all devices used for cultivation, drying, and packaging.
The investigation began in 2025 after authorities identified signs of illegal marijuana production in the municipality. Surveillance revealed the property had advanced security measures, including technological systems and personal guards.
Nearly 50 Guardia Civil officers participated in the raid, arresting the three suspects and confiscating the vehicle used to support the plantation and distribution.
Investigators confirmed the property was entirely dedicated to drug trafficking. Rooms were converted into indoor growing areas and drying spaces, with the group simultaneously packaging a previous harvest while completing the latest crop.
