Oakland, California – A grizzly bear at the Oakland Zoo turned heads last week as it splashed in a pool while playing with a barrel.

The playful moment was caught on video by zoo staff.

The bear, named Truckee, rolled, splashed, and wrestled the barrel in the water with pure joy.

Oakland Zoo shared the footage with a message encouraging everyone to join in the summer spirit.

“This is your sign to grab a floatie (or a barrel) and get to the nearest pool asap. It’s time for some summer fun… Truckee-style!!” the zoo wrote.

The video quickly gained attention, showcasing the bear’s energy and the importance of enrichment for animals in human care.
