HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Florida deputies rescued a woman who became trapped hanging upside down by her leg from a rope about 16 feet above the ground.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said deputies were alerted on December 7 after the woman failed to return to her ship the previous night.

She was found conscious, explaining that she had gotten lost and slipped while trying to climb down the rope.

Deputies, with the help of her fellow crew members, safely brought her to the ground. Fortunately, she suffered only minor injuries.

HCSO reminded the public to exercise caution when working at heights and to ensure safety equipment is properly used.
