Hat Yai District, Thailand – On November 27, 2568, Special Warfare Command rescuers and the 41st Battalion of the Army Aviation Center moved into flood-hit Zone Eight to save residents trapped by high water.
Video from the scene shows soldiers wading through deep, fast-moving floodwaters to reach people stuck inside their homes.
Troops guided residents through the water, holding them steady as they pushed against the current.
When the conditions became too dangerous to walk, soldiers carried victims on their backs to bring them out safely.
Those rescued included an elderly couple with kidney disease, and a woman with chronic heart disease and her 11-year-old son. They were taken for treatment at Songklanagarind Hospital in Kho Hong.
An aerial survey found 20 more residents still in flooded homes. They declined to evacuate, so soldiers delivered food and drinking water.
The Royal Thai Army said rescue operations will continue until all affected residents receive safe, rapid assistance.
