Hoyt Lakes – The Hoyt Lakes Fire Department reported that on November 30 its crew responded to a call about a deer that had fallen through the ice on Whitewater Lake.

The crew arrived at the scene and safely assisted the animal, ensuring it was freed from the ice.

According to the department, the deer was able to return to the wild without injury after being rescued.
