DOSSO DEL LIRO (CO) – Firefighters have successfully concluded an operation on Monte Carinello, in the municipality of Dosso del Liro, where several goats from a small local farm had been missing for days.

Speleo teams from Como, supported by the helicopter Drago VF166, were flown up the mountain to an altitude of about 2,500 meters.

Once in the area, the crews managed to locate and gather 37 goats, many more than expected, with all the animals found in good condition.

The responders then accompanied the shepherd and the entire herd safely on the long descent back to the malga, located at around 600 meters above sea level.
