Firefighters Pull Man From Collapsed 10-Meter Well After 16-Hour Rescue

Nanning, China – A man trapped in a 10-meter-deep cement well was rescued after a grueling 16-hour operation.

The well’s walls, lacking steel reinforcement, collapsed while the man was working inside, leaving only his head and one hand exposed.

Firefighters faced loose soil and shifting sand that made the rescue extremely dangerous. They worked carefully, providing continuous oxygen and stabilizing the area to reach him safely.

During the rescue, firefighters encouraged the man with repeated calls of “Don’t shake!” “Hold on!” and “Real man!”—words that helped keep his spirits up amid the life-threatening situation.

After hours of meticulous work, the team successfully lifted the man from the debris, bringing him to safety. The operation highlighted both the risks of unstable construction sites and the skill and bravery of the rescue personnel.
