Dog Rescued From Flooded Jungle As Honduras Teams Battle Rising Waters

El Progreso, Honduras – A rescue team worked through dense, flooded terrain to save a dog trapped in an inundated area, as shown in video from ongoing emergency operations in the region.

Police and rescue personnel, equipped with uniforms and life vests, navigated thick vegetation and muddy ground while advancing toward the stranded animal. The difficult conditions reflect the widespread flooding triggered by recent heavy rainfall.

The operation forms part of larger flood response efforts across Honduras, where multiple rescues have been carried out due to rising water levels. Authorities have issued weather alerts, including a Red Alert declared by COPECO for areas near the Ulúa River, underscoring the urgency of the situation.

The focus on the “perrito” highlights the humanitarian dimension of the work, as teams continue saving both people and animals affected by the natural disaster.
