Florida, USA – A sheriff’s marine deputy rescued a small cat in distress during patrols on local waterways over the weekend.

Caught on camera, the rescue showed the moment a marine unit deputy approached the frightened animal and pulled it from danger. The cat had become stranded near the water, and deputies acted quickly to secure it safely aboard their boat.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office shared the footage, emphasizing that animal safety remains a top priority. Deputies had been patrolling the area to educate boaters and enforce the law when the emergency occurred.
