Tampa, Florida – On January 24, 2026, deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to a life-threatening situation on I-275 involving an unresponsive 4-year-old child.
Arriving at the scene at 5:20 p.m., deputies found the child not breathing and without a pulse.
Immediately, the deputies performed CPR and rescue breathing, maintaining lifesaving efforts until Tampa Fire Rescue personnel arrived to continue treatment.
The child was quickly transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where officials report the young patient is now in stable condition.
The swift action of law enforcement is credited with saving the child’s life in what could have been a tragic outcome.
