St. Johns County, Florida – On March 1, 2026, deputies from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office responded to a multi-vehicle crash on I-95. Upon arrival, they found one vehicle fully engulfed in flames, with the driver ejected and lying nearby, unable to move.

Without hesitation, deputies climbed through brush to reach the man and pulled him to safety. Their quick actions prevented further injury as the fire continued to consume the car.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue arrived on scene to provide emergency aid to the driver. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
