Lago Vista, Texas – Police released a video showing a deer wandering with a hammock wrapped around its antlers, describing the look as an “emo-chic accessory.”

The Lago Vista Police Department said several residents contacted authorities after spotting the deer moving through the area with a rope hammock tangled around its antlers.

“We’ve received a lot of calls regarding our local deer who’s fully embraced his emo era,” the department said, noting the resemblance of the tangled hammock to an early-2000s hairstyle.

According to another post, “He’s been spotted proudly wearing a hammock tangled in his antlers, and while his ‘forest-core fashion’ has raised some eyebrows, rest assured, he’s totally fine.”

Police said wildlife experts examined the video and confirmed the animal is not in any immediate danger. Officials added that using darts to remove the hammock could pose risks to both the deer and the community.

The department noted that male deer shed their antlers before winter ends, meaning the hammock will naturally fall away in due time.
