La Sal, United States – The Deer Creek Fire near La Sal, Utah, has grown to approximately 4,000 acres with no containment reported.

Evacuations have been advised for residents within five miles of the fire and those living in Mountain Shadow Estates.

Fire crews are actively constructing control lines using bulldozers and taking advantage of natural barriers in the terrain.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Command of the incident will be transferred to the GBT4 Complex Incident Management Team on Sunday.
