Dallas, United States – Around 1 p.m. on February 15, 2026, Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a water rescue at Forest Lane and Schroeder Road after two men became trapped on a trail by the rapidly rising waters of Cottonwood Creek.

Swift Water Rescue technicians from Dallas Fire Station 30 quickly deployed a Water Sled from the Forest Lane bridge. Two rescuers navigated the rushing creek to reach the men, who were stranded along with their bicycle.

Both men were safely brought to shore without injury, thanks to the rapid response and skill of the rescue team. Authorities praised the teamwork and precision involved in the operation, ensuring no further harm came to those caught in the sudden floodwaters.
