Perth, Australia – Perth Zoo has shared a charming video of Barney, a Little Penguin, capturing a “selfie” on camera.

The footage, released Wednesday, shows the tiny penguin waddling up to the camera, clearly exploring its surroundings with curiosity.

Barney is part of the zoo’s Little Penguin colony, a species known for being the smallest of all penguins. Standing just taller than a bowling pin and weighing around one kilo, these penguins are celebrated for their endearing appearance.

The zoo noted that Little Penguins rank high on the “cuteness scale,” and Barney’s inquisitive behavior highlights the playful nature of the species.
