Crane Lifts Aircraft At John Wayne Airport In New Video

Santa Ana, California – The Orange County Fire Authority has shared a video showing its powerful new crane lifting an aircraft at John Wayne Airport.

The crane recently joined OCFA’s fleet and was introduced during a traditional “push-in” ceremony at Station 33.

The video highlights the crane’s ability to carefully lift disabled planes, demonstrating its increased lifting capacity and precision.

This new vehicle will help the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) team respond quickly to critical incidents and assist with aircraft that may disrupt flight operations.

Equipped with advanced safety technology, improved speed, and better accessibility, the crane boosts OCFA’s emergency response capabilities.

The “push-in” ceremony honors a historic firefighting tradition dating back to the 1800s when equipment was manually pushed back into stations.
