Coast Guard Stops Drug Vessel In Biggest Ocean Bust In 18 Years

Eastern Pacific – Coast Guard Cutter Munro crews arrived on scene on Dec. 2, 2025, to interdict a suspected drug smuggling vessel in the Eastern Pacific.

The crews closed in on the vessel as the suspected narcotics operation was underway.

The interdiction resulted in the removal of more than 20,000 pounds of narcotics, marking the largest Coast Guard single at sea seizure in over 18 years.
