Isabella, Puerto Rico – On October 4, 2025, a Coast Guard Air Station Borinquen Jayhawk helicopter crew rescued two people from an alien venture about one mile off Shacks Beach.

The vessel had departed the Dominican Republic on October 2, 2025, carrying seven people attempting to reach Puerto Rico. One individual remains unaccounted for following the rescue.

The Coast Guard aircrew successfully located and brought the two survivors to safety. Efforts to determine the status of the missing person are ongoing.
